This former factory was transformed into a unique food and retail center featuring local or regional vendors. It's kind of like a mall food court but better.

FAQ

Diamond Star Line

Is there a dress code? What should I wear?

Our event is semi-formal/cocktail attire with the option to wear costumes for Halloween. While it is not required, if you wish to dress according to our chosen palette, the colors include: deep teal, sienna, gold/mustard yellow, crimson red, and salmon.

Are children welcome?

Due to venue restrictions, children cannot be accommodated at the wedding. We hope you can make arrangements and come celebrate with us at our adults only event.

Indoors/Outdoors?

The event will occur indoors and outdoors, with the outdoor area covered.

Can I bring a date (plus one) to your wedding?

Because we have some limitations when it comes to space and budget, so we kindly ask that you don't bring a plus one unless they're specifically named on the invitation. Thank you for being understanding!

What's the weather like?

Halloween in Charlotte, NC, is typically dry, with mild temperatures ranging from a high temperature of 68 degrees and a low of 44 degrees.

Accessibility?

The accessible entrance has a ramp and is located at the rear of the building at the large bay door, which is at least 32 inches wide. In the building, there is also an elevator and ten accessible bathrooms.

To establish a space that is accommodating to those with sensory sensitivities, we will be offering earplugs and a designated area for breaks.

Social media hashtag?

Absolutely! Since we are basically a celerbrity couple, please capture your favorite moments and share using the hashtag #Joillian.

Virtual option?

Regrettably, we will not be streaming the ceremony or reception virtually. We sincerely hope that you can join us IRL!

What's the food/alcohol sitch? Allergen-free options?

After the social hour, dinner and dessert will be served with gluten-free options available. If you have any dietary restrictions or allergies, please let us know through the digital RSVP. We will provide beer and wine from 4 PM to 7 PM, but there won't be any cash bar service afterwards. Even though we don't drink, we want you to have a great time!

Safety precautions?

Out of concern for our guests, in order to attend this celebration you and your plus-one must be fully vaccinated.

While it’s not a requirement for our wedding, we completely understand and respect any guests who may wish to wear a mask on the day. Please note that we won’t be supplying masks at the venue, so you will need to provide your own.

Can we take photos?

We ask that the bulk of the ceremony be unplugged. However, we will dedicate time before the social hour for all to capture photos. Otherwise, taking and sharing pictures is encouraged!

Transportation and Parking?

Unfortunately, the venue does not have on-site parking options. Try the W. 10th & N. Church St. lot or the VAPA lot across from McColl Center for limited free parking spots.

Otherwise, nearby metered spots are available (free after 6 pm), or the nearest garage is at 630 N. Church (SkyHouse- $16).
